Kim Bill, Geneva, Switzerland

 

Kim has over 25 years of broad international experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry in Scientific Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, Business Development and Licensing and Corporate Development, working previously at Diethlem, Servier, Serono (MerckSerono) and Debiopharm. Her deal track record is extensive, having negotiated significant numerous deals globally.

She graduated from the National University of Singapore with a degree in Pharmacy. Later on she earned a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Hull in the UK and General and Marketing Management with Stanford University and Bocconi University.

In April 2006, she was nominated one of three most successful women in biotech by AEGFI, a daily Swiss French financial newspaper.

She founded Creative Business Solutions sàrl and Asia Life Science Academy Pte Ltd, and consults for Debiopharm S.A. in the position of Vice-President, Corporate Development. She is a Board Member of Aurigene Discovery Technologies Inc. and Vice-President of the Swiss Pharma Licensing Group.

 

Loh Chin Siew, Singapore

Chin Siew has over 15 years of experience in economic development, business strategy, entrepreneurship, corporate structuring, fund raising and venture capital. 

She worked at the Singapore Economic Development Board where she was involved in formulating Singapore's chemicals and biomedical sciences industry development and growth strategies, and promoting investments in these industry clusters. She played an instrumental role in attracting leading pharmaceutical companies to establish R&D centres and multi-million manufacturing plants in Singapore.

After that, she joined Bio*One Capital, one of the largest biomedical sciences investment funds in Asia, where she managed Bio*One Capital's Innovate and Create Scheme - a S$25M fund for seeding early stage companies. Chin Siew graduated from the University of Bristol with a First Class Honours degree in Chemistry and received her Masters in Business Administration from INSEAD.

 

Mark Archer, London, UK

Mark Archer served in global Vice President roles at Sanofi-Aventis and Quintiles Transnational before establishing Southwark Pryce International in 2011. His 24 year career in biopharmaceuticals includes international commercial partnering, strategy, business development, general management, marketing and alliance management, including management of global pharmaceutical alliances with sales of more than $11 billion.

He has worked for large pharmaceutical companies including Roche, Merck and Sanofi-Aventis, as well as the global services company, Quintiles Transnational.


Linda Pullan, California, USA

Linda has over 20 years of experience in a wide range of  licensing and business development activities, scientific evaluations, strategy, market analysis, financial models, messaging, relationship management and negotiations. Her track record of closed deals cover a whole spectrum up to $100 million upfront.

She has strong industry knowledge, extensive contacts, deal experience, and enthusiasm.  Her previous positions include Drug Discovery Research, Collaborations Manager at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Head of Oncology and Hematology Licensing at Amgen and VP of Business Development at Kosan.

With her strong industry knowledge, extensive network and enthusiasm Linda set up her successful consultancy, Pullan Consultancy

and writes a business commentary, Pullan's Pieces read by over 2400 professionals. Linda has Ph.D. in Biochemistry and a B.S. in Chemistry.

 

Ivan Csendes, Basel, Switzerland

Ivan is an industry veteran, with over 30 years of experience, having worked at Ciba-Geigy and Novartis, as Head of Laboratory in antibiotics chemistry research, and then over 23 years in the Business Development & Licensing, where he was responsible for in and out-licensing of drugs in different therapeutic areas, including CNS, dermatology inflammation, oncology, respiratory, as well as for drug delivery projects. He has negotiated and concluded many differently structured agreements with pharmaceutical and medical device companies, more recently with companies such as Abbott Vascular, Eisai, Speedel.

Ivan is a founding member of Swiss Pharma Licensing Group and was the president of the association from 2004-2008. He is currently the Chairman of European Pharma Licensing Council. He has a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University Basel.
