Another deal out of the window

This is a deal that had come knocking on my door twice and failed to conclude twice, at the time of finalising the agreement. Why? 1)trying to fit a square plug in a round hole- they were VCs looking to raise money, we are drug developers looking to invest to increase deal flow through a different source 2) they were looking for exits in 4-5 years, we were looking for a successfully commercialised drug as an exit 3) we thought we could be mutually increasing deal flow for each other and this was not important for them 4) finally it was the level of management fees that blew it. Like my husband said, one has to run up and down a football field many times to hope to score a goal. I have to keep running!
